Spring Fever Planting Seminar - March 16th at 1:00 pm

As part of the RBV Seminar Series, join us at River Bluffs Village to hear Scott Solomonson and Becky Kullman from Living Space Landscapes talk about Spring Fever Planting. Learn how to pot your favorite plants for your landscape gardens and containers. Scott and Becky will also show a slideshow of their work.


There will be time for Q&A.

CarFit is coming to RBV

CarFit is coming to the Village Center!  This educational program, sponsored by DARTS and the University of Minnesota Occupation Therapy Department, is being held on Friday, May 7th from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.


At a CarFit event, trained technicians lead older drivers through a 12-point checklist of their vehicle, recommend vehicle adjustments and adaptations, and offer community-specific resources.

AQUATIC CLASS - Come join us in the 92-degree pool at the brand new Shaller Family Sholom East campus for warm-water exercise! Members may try a class for free any Tuesday or Thursday at 4:00 and may join in a currently scheduled class at any time.

As part of the RBV seminar series, Stacey Brown with Edward Jones will be at River Bluffs Village to talk about Tax-Free Investing: It's Not What You Make, It's What You Keep.  There are several strategies to help reduce your tax burden.  During the seminar, we will examine:  

STATE SUES TWO DISCOUNT HEALTH PLANS

Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson on Wednesday sued two Texas companies that she claims exploited the difficulty people are having finding affordable health coverage.

Direct Medical Network Solutions of Southlake, Texas, and Houston-based Association Healthcare Management, also going by the name Family Care, marketed discount plans to Minnesota consumers in part by misleading them into believing they were health-insurance plans, the lawsuits claim.

Pilates Now on Fridays!

Pilates will now be available to members every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 am.

DARTS Volunteers of the Year

DARTS is pleased to announce the Volunteers of the Year for 2009 in four categories: administrative, direct service, intergenerational, and group/corporate.

 

Bernie Friel and Luncheon

Bernie Friel will be presenting his nature photography at the RBV Village Center on Thursday, February 4th.  Bernie was the promotional trip photographer for Outward Bound International for 6 years, photographing in the Boundary Water Wilderness Canoe Area of Minnesota, Cataract Canyon of the Colorado River and the Green River.

Lunch from Tommy Chicago's will be served at noon, followed by Bernie's presentation.
